Four of our communities are inching toward the finish line!
Dates have been set for the final public hearing on the master plans in Crystal Lake, Gilmore, Joyfield, and Blaine Townships. This is the last opportunity for the public to offer comment before the Planning Commission considers the document for adoption, and the only one required in the state statute. However, public involvement has been a core value of this collaboration from the beginning. We hope very much that everyone who wanted to has participated in a visioning session, attended a Planning Commission working session, commented on this site, or made a contribution to the public review period. Each Planning Commission has worked tirelessly to consider every voice that spoke, whether that has led to a greater understanding of the issues involved or a direct change in the plan’s content. THANK YOU to all who made this a true grassroots endeavor!
The public hearing dates are (full details are available on the calendar):
Crystal Lake Township: 7 pm on Wednesday, May 21 at Crystal Lake Township Hall
Gilmore Township: 7 pm on Tuesday, May 27 at the Old Elberta Public Library
Joyfield Township: 7 pm on Thursday, May 29 at Joyfield Township Hall
